Team Development at Natwest

Drawing on our experience of working with call centres, we developed a teambuilding event for teams forming part of Natwest's premium telephone banking service - Primeline. The design took the team away from their normal environmenmt and took them through a range of activities desinged to simulate the working environemnt so that they could transfer their learning back to the day job.

A team development programme was designed that recognised that the specific outcomes would depend on the needs of the team, identified before and during the event, there were nonetheless several generic outcomes we delivered. For example:

completed a challenging outdoor task whilst dealing with a series of interruptions
worked as a team in a supportive environment, coaching each other in the tasks they can do well themselves
discovered their own and the team’s strengths and development areas
produced a visual record of the day to support the learning back in the workplace
discovered their own “Thinking Styles”^TM preferences and will be able to identify others preferences
developed flexibility in their thinking and handling of tasks
had high quality feedback from the facilitators
had a great deal of fun!
