Newly Revised Workbook!
The Navigator Men's Development Programme is the first personal and work development programme specifically researched and designed for non-management men in the UK.
Who is it for?
It's for men who know there is more to life and want to take their next steps more consciously. Most Navigator participants are in non-management roles inside organisations and others are in junior management, in specialist roles, self-employed, unemployed or working in voluntary organisations.
It's for employers who want to develop their staff to their fullest potential and to give their staff opportunities to develop.
What are the results?
You and your employer can realistically expect any of these outcomes:
- realistic self-assessment
- set and achieve clear goals
- develop a positive attitude
- communicate more effectively and assertively
- have more self-confidence and motivation
- present a positive image
- improve your work/home balance
- build better relationships
Employers have the benefits of staff who are more highly motivated, better focussed and are better communicators following the programme. Private and public sector organisations, universities, government departments and voluntary groups have all benefited.
In a recently published major survey, Personal Development Has Legs, feedback from participants in Navigator over a 10-year period showed that:
- 84% of respondents report having a more positive attitude
- 83% were able to set more effective goals
- 82% showed improved decision making
- 82% improved thier communication skills
- 76% were taking more initiative
- 71% had greater motivation at work
- 80.5% had increased self-esteem and confidence
- 64.5% had received favourable comments in their formal appraisal
- ...and more - see the report for details.
Navigator motivates participants to give more to their work and take responsibility. |
How does the programme work?
There are five key ingredients to the programme:
- four one-day workshops over 3 months
- a, first ever, personal worksbook packed with practical ideas and activities
- practical examples of others' experience
- coaching partnerships
- networking
Men assess themselves, set goals and then develop the practical skills and self confidence needed to achieve those goals.
Men in all walks of life and in different patterns of employment have opened up all sorts of opportunities for themselves following the programme.
The Navigator Men's Development Programme has already been used by over a hundred organisations around the world. Commercial companies, public sector organisations, universities, government departments and voluntary groups have all benefited. Here is just a selection of them:
