The Springboard Women's Development Programme is an award-winning personal and work development programme for non-management women. It is a sister to the Navigator programme for men and comes from the same stable as the outstanding Spring Forward and Superworking.

It's for women who know there is more to life and are seeking how to go about achieving it. Most Springboard participants are in non-management roles inside organisations whilst others are self-employed, unemployed or working in voluntary organisations. The programme can be specially tuned to suit management women and universities use a special version for undergraduate students. It's for employers who want to develop their staff to their fullest potential and to give their staff opportunities to develop within the organisation.

Women assess themselves, set goals and then develop the practical skills and self confidence needed to achieve those goals.

In a recent major survey, Personal Development Has Legs, feedback from participants in Springboard over a 10-year period showed that:

  • 79% of respondees had evidence of being better at managing change
  • 78% had taken more responsibility
  • 77.5% had evidence of being more assertive
  • 71% had greater motivation at work
  • 80.5% had increased self-esteem and confidence
  • 64.5% had received favourable comments in their formal appraisal

Springboard motivates participants to give more to their work and take responsibility.

Thousands of women in all walks of life and in different patterns of employment have opened up all sorts of opportunities for themselves, following the programme.

When you join the programme, you can realistically expect any or all of these outcomes:

  • have more self confidence and motivation
  • set and achieve clear goals
  • develop a positive attitude
  • communicate more assertively and effectively
  • present a positive image
  • improve your work/life balance

Employers are able to develop the potential in this often overlooked sector of staff.

Hundreds of employers have enjoyed the immediate and long term benefits of staff who are more highly motivated and better communicators following the programme. Commercial companies, public sector organisations, universities, government departments and voluntary groups in many different countries have all benefited.

Employers can realistically expect any of these outcomes:

  • more highly motivated and focussed staff
  • improved communications
  • improved customer relations
  • staff who bring solutions, not problems
  • retention of staff
  • promotions from within
